About
Hi, I’m Tatiana—
My journey into fashion started through a love of clothes that tell a story. I come from a background as a technical designer in corporate fashion, where I developed a strong foundation in pattern making and garment construction. Those skills are still at the heart of everything I do. For me, sustainability begins with craftsmanship. When a piece fits beautifully, is made with intention, and feels personal, it naturally has a longer life—and that’s the kind of impact I want to make.
A big part of my inspiration comes from classic men’s tailoring. I’ve always been fascinated by its structure, precision, and quiet confidence. Growing up in a religious community, I was surrounded by men in suits who wore them like proud uniforms. That image of power and identity through clothing has stayed with me. I like to take that energy and flip it—make it whimsical, playful, almost surreal. I want my pieces to carry that same sense of confidence, but with humor, lightness, and individuality.
I was also adopted from South America into a world that couldn’t have been more different. The vibrant colors, textures, and traditions of Latin American clothing continue to influence me. In many ways, Tatiana_Alexandra is about marrying those two worlds—tailored structure and joyful chaos. Both are equally important to my story and my designs.
I source most of my materials through thrifting, upcycling men’s garments, and repurposing surplus fabrics from the industry—often through connections in the NYC garment district. It’s a process rooted in community, creativity, and care. Sustainability, to me, isn’t just about materials—it’s about making clothes that mean something.
At its core, Tatiana_Alexandra is about creating clothing that makes you feel strong, seen, and a little bit magical. I hope my pieces feel like they were made just for you—because, in a way, they are.
